Editorial policy

How pages are written

Each tool starts from the law or official guidance it applies. We write the explanation in plain English, show the formula and rates, add a worked example and link every figure to its source.

Review

Our aim is for every tool to be checked by a qualified property professional, who will be named on the page with their registration. Tools that have not yet been reviewed say so. We never claim a review that hasn’t happened.

Use of AI

We use AI tools to help draft and check code and text. A person edits every page, and all figures are checked against the official source before publication.

Independence

We are not connected to any government department, agency, council, lender, agent or conveyancer. Advertising does not influence what we publish.

Corrections log
